VMP Intercooler Upgrade V3 for 2007-2014 GT500 5.4 L / 5.8 L
The best never rest. We took the the original VMP-SUC050 V2 upgrade and made it even better. ALL NEW VMP-SUC150 VMP V3 Intercooler Core for the ‘07-’14 GT500. This intercooler core features 10% more cross sectional area over our previous design due to a 25 mm longer fin stack. It increases the inlet and outlet diameters to a TRUE 1" diameter. Our design now incorporates rigid mounted end-tanks for increased strength and durability.
VMP V3 Intercooler Core Features:
- 13 rows instead of 12 as found in the stock core
- True 1" ID inlet and outlet
- 123 mm wide vs 110 mm stock
- 8% increase in airflow
- 12% increase in core volume
- 15% increase in water flow (with supporting mods)
- 16 FPI lanced offset find design
- LD style core
- 30-60 rwhp gains depending on power level
- 5-10% decrease in Downstream IAT at WOT (minimum recommended water flow 8 GPM)
- Reduces delta P across core for maximum blower efficiency

May be paired with VMP velocity pans for maximum gains (see packages below).
You will see additional gains by modifying your upper intake manifold for maximum core exposure to achieve maximum airflow and cooling.

- Fits Stock intake manifold on 2007-2014 Mustang Shelby GT500 5.4 L and 5.8 L

- Does not fit Roush Coyote intake manifolds, see VMP-SUC050
- Included standard in VMP Leviathan series manifolds
Use 2 of VMP-SUC103 to adapt the new 1" ID intercooler ports to the older VMP-SUC055/SUC056 water manifolds with 7/8" ID ports.
New re-designed VMP 20 an water manifold coming soon with 1" ID fittings (may be installed later on without lower intake manifold removal).
