Warranty Disclaimer

Certain VMP Performance parts and those sold by VMP Performance are not covered by a warranty. Such parts are sold "as is", "with all faults", "as they stand", and without any express warranty whatsoever, unless otherwise expressly designated herein.

To the fullest extent allowed by state and federal law, VMP Performance expressly disclaims the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, even if a particular purpose is mentioned herein. VMP Performance also expressly disclaims all liability for direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to, damage or loss of property or equipment, loss of profits or revenue, cost of purchase or replacement of goods, or claims of customers of the purchaser that result from the use of any and all parts or vehicles contained in this catalog. In no event shall the liability of VMP Performance or VMP Tuning, Inc., whether in tort, contract, or otherwise, exceed the cost of the part or vehicle. However, your legal rights may vary from state to state.

Should any parts contained within our online catalog or retail store prove defective following purchase, the buyer, not the manufacturer, distributor, or retailer, shall assume the entire cost of all necessary servicing and/or repair. The entire risk as to the performance of such parts or vehicles is with the buyer.

Any parts sold with any warranty contrary to this Disclaimer shall be specifically labeled as such and such warranty shall have a limited length of 12 months from the date of purchase and VMP Performance's liability shall be limited to the replacement of said part with a new or reconditioned item of equal or greater value and serviceability. The purchaser is responsible for obtaining a Return Merchandise Authorization number (learn more here) and covering the return postage costs. If the returned item is deemed unserviceable due to manufacturing or workmanship issues, a replacement will be sent to you at our expense. The returned item must be sent to us with a trackable shipping source.

We are not responsible for the installation of any of our parts or kits by the owner. We recommend contacting our sales and support team before purchasing if you have any questions about your ability to install the item(s). We are not responsible for any damage that may occur during the installation process. Damaged components may not be returned for any reason.

Supercharger Warranty Policy

This Limited Warranty is the only published warranty that applies to all of our Supercharger Kits and Components, and there is no other warranty expressed or implied.

VMP Performance warrants its supercharger kits and components to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 1 year from the date of supercharger purchase. In the event of a defect in material or workmanship on one of our supercharger kits or components, the customer must first contact VMP Performance's Superchargers Warranty Department (contact information below).

All warranty claims will be denied without proof of purchase of the supercharger kit. A copy of the original sales receipt must be included with any supercharger assembly or component of the installation kit.

When returning it for a warranty claim:

  • All supercharger kits and/or components must be returned to our New Smyrna Beach, FL facility.
  • The supercharger kit and/or its components must be returned in the original box.
  • The customer must receive a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA #) from VMP Performance before returning any supercharger kit or component. The RMA # must be marked on the outside of the box. Superchargers received without an RMA will not be processed.
  • VMP will provide a shipping method and label for the supercharger kit and/or components. To ensure VMP covers the shipping cost, the provided shipping label must be used.

During the warranty period, VMP Performance will, at our discretion, repair or replace any supercharger or component found to be defective in material or workmanship. The responsibility of VMP Performance is limited to the repair or replacement of the supercharger kit or component at our discretion. VMP Performance is not responsible for incorrect installation, incidental or consequential damages, property damage, personal injury damages, labor costs, transportation or other incidental or consequential charges, storage or rental car charges.

Any additional vehicle modifications or performance upgrades may void this warranty. Any alterations to the supercharger will void this warranty.

The addition of non-specified oil will void the warranty. VMP specifies NYE Synthetic Oil 605, such as Motorcraft XL-4, VMP-SUA043, or ACDelco 10-4041 for use in its Supercharger Kits

What's Not Covered By The VMP Performance Supercharger Limited Parts Warranty:

  • Damage occurring after modification, such as porting, to the supercharger.
  • Parts that have been altered, modified, or installed on vehicles not included in the applications listed for that particular part number.
  • Damage from misuse, incorrect installation, unauthorized repairs or consequential damage.
  • Damage caused by unauthorized addition of the supercharger oil.
  • The labor cost to remove or replace the part(s).
  • Any fluids, gaskets, drive belt, incidental parts, or shipping costs.
  • Labor for diagnostic costs to determine what caused the damage.
  • Costs for vehicle downtime, loss of vehicle use, or rental car charges.
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Improper installation by the installer.
  • Incidental expenses such as loss of vehicle use, inconvenience, lost time or wages, travel costs, etc.
  • Damage as a result of the use of any oil other than Synthetic Oil 605, such as Motorcraft XL-4, VMP-SUA043 or ACDelco 10-4041
  • Damage as a result of any catastrophic engine failure, resulting in the intake of foreign materials into the supercharger.
