VMP Race Lower Intake Pan for ‘07–’14 GT500
Details
We built the VMP Race Lower Intake Pan for ‘07–’14 GT500s for serious performance. The race version is designed for builds running the VMP-SUC050 Street Intercooler Core Upgrade and a machined manifold. The current photos are of our prototype in billet aluminum. Final production will be machined cast aluminum.
Featuring patent-pending, high-efficiency Apex airflow geometry, the pan improves performance potential while maintaining OEM-style fitment for a hassle-free install. The race version does require modifications to the lower intake and we have included links within the bullet points for the necessary machining. Each intake pan comes complete with an O-ring seal and all necessary hardware for a secure, reliable setup.
The Apex airflow geometry improves air distribution over the intercooler core, improving cooling and, thereby, making more power! It fits with OEM intercooler cores, OEM footprint aftermarket cores, and pairs even better with the VMP-SUC050 VMP Street Intercooler Core Upgrade. Furthermore, the improved geometry provides more clearance between the corner of the intercooler core and the pan itself. This increase in cross-sectional area promotes smooth uninterrupted flow around the core and into the intake runners.
If you’re looking to maximize the cooling performance and efficiency of your S197 GT500 race car, the VMP Race Lower Intake Pan is a fantastic way to complete your build!
